We show what already exists, what we are preparing and which information is still missing.
Our current situation
- Already in place: a private foster care facility and personal help for animals locally, cooperation on specific cases with the responsible municipality of Pydna-Kolindros, based in Aiginio, coordination with vets, a dedicated project email address, this website and the cat profiles of Mia and Luzi. Further animal profiles are added using information that is actually known.
- In preparation: the organisational and legal structure of an independent animal welfare organisation in Greece.
- Still to be clarified: legal form, registration, any necessary permits, a dedicated bank account and future payment and documentation procedures.
- Support today: donations of supplies and in-kind sponsorships agreed in advance, as well as non-binding enquiries. We are not currently accepting monetary donations or paid sponsorship contributions. We charge neither a sale price nor a flat-rate adoption fee. Before every adoption, we openly agree which share of the actual, documented costs of necessary veterinary preparation and transport the adoptive family will cover. Costs already covered elsewhere are not charged; wherever possible, payments are made directly to the relevant service providers.
Private help and official adoption
Practical help is currently provided privately through our foster care facility. Every adoption enquiry and proposed home is carefully and reliably assessed; the highest priority is a safe, suitable and permanent home. Adoptions, registration of the new owner and cross-border transport are prepared and documented with the responsible municipality, authorised vets and the necessary bodies. This website does not present ANIMAL HOPE GREECE as an already registered organisation or licensed animal shelter.
Monetary donations are not currently accepted
Whether monetary donations will be offered later remains open. Such an offer would be published only after the account holder, payment method, use of funds, accounting and legal framework have been clarified. Until then, there are no donation bank details and no donation button.
Separate projects, clear responsibilities
ANIMAL HOPE GREECE is being developed separately from SJH NORTHWAVE NETWORK. The planned future link as a project close to our hearts does not replace its own legal or financial organisation.
Real information, not invented placeholder stories
We publish photographs, animal information, partner names and project results on the basis of information actually available. Missing photographs or measurements are marked “to follow”; we mention a breed or mix only when a responsible assessment is possible. We describe the existing cooperation on specific cases with the responsible municipality in Aiginio factually, without using its logo or claiming a wider formal partnership.
