Puppies — our animals in urgent need

Adult dogs
Our adult dogs are looking for people who can meet their needs. You can find their profiles in the adult dogs section.
Cats
Mia and Luzi are currently reserved for adoption. Their complete profiles, with photographs and confirmed information, are available in the cats section.
Other animals
We do not look away — whatever the species. We assess each case honestly to determine whether direct care, temporary accommodation, veterinary help or adoption is possible.
Give an animal a home or help locally
Adoption: You welcome an animal into your family permanently. Every animal is placed with a carefully selected adoptive family.
In-kind animal sponsorship: You support an animal locally with food or other agreed donations of supplies — ideally regularly and long-term. You may support several animals, and each animal may have several sponsors.
We do not sell animals.
With all our hearts, we help street animals and animals in need find loving, permanent families — for a fresh start and a better life. Every adoption enquiry and prospective home is carefully and reliably assessed. What matters is not arranging an adoption as quickly as possible, but ensuring that the animal, people and living circumstances are a lasting match. The welfare and safety of the animal are our highest priority.
An honest and transparent approach to costs
Our private animal welfare work is a project close to our hearts. We do and contribute what we can, but cannot always fully finance the necessary veterinary preparation and transport for every animal ourselves. Before adoption, we therefore openly agree which share of the actual, documented costs the adoptive family will cover. Depending on the animal and destination, these may include identification, vaccinations, required examinations and tests, necessary documents and transport.
This contribution is not a purchase price or a flat-rate adoption fee, and includes no profit margin. Only documented costs are considered. Wherever possible, payments are made directly to the vet, laboratory, authority, airline or transport service. Costs demonstrably covered by the municipality, a flight volunteer or another party are not charged to the adoptive family.
A note on flight volunteers: a flight volunteer accompanies an animal on a journey they have already planned. This does not automatically mean that the accompanying person or airline also pays the transport costs. Any costs that may be waived are agreed transparently in advance for the specific journey. We are not currently accepting monetary donations or paid sponsorship contributions.
An individual profile for every animal
Every animal receives its own profile with verified information and original photographs as soon as these are available. If a picture is still missing, it is clearly marked “Photo to follow”. Before enquiring, you can therefore see exactly which information is confirmed and what will be added later.
Basic information
Name and sex; age and age group; breed or mix; shoulder height, chest circumference and weight; location and status.
Health & character
Vaccination, microchip and neutering; known findings and medication; character and energy; fears and individual needs; compatibility.
A suitable home
Experience and daily routine; children and other animals; type of home and surroundings; time and activity; particular requirements.
Honesty before completeness
We state clearly what we know. Anything we do not know for certain is marked “not yet known” or “to follow”. We mention a breed or mix only when a responsible assessment is possible; shoulder height and chest circumference are added later. Assumptions are not presented as facts. For animals in urgent need, we explain openly what support or experience is required.
How adoption works
- Get to know the animal and its profile: Read the profile carefully and honestly assess whether the animal’s needs fit your daily life.
- Send an enquiry: Tell us about your home, experience, family, existing animals and expectations.
- Assess together: We discuss outstanding questions personally. Depending on the animal, further conversations, a home check or a meeting may be helpful.
- Make a responsible decision: only when the match is right for both sides, and above all for the animal, do we prepare the adoption agreement, official registration and handover. Travel takes place only after all prescribed requirements have been met, particularly identification, valid vaccinations, required examinations and tests, documents, notifications and legally compliant transport.
